Excellent chair! Reviews Steelcase Leap Fabric Chair, Black

This Steelcase Leap Fabric Chair is just a great chair. The seat adjusts to the right depth as well as height. The arm wrests adjust. The lumber support adjusts to the perfect spot. The firmness and amount of back leaning support is great. Almost immediately I fell in love with this chair.

I've used Herman Miller Aeron chairs at a previous company, and thought they were an excellent chair. The Steelcase Leap beats it. I have now been using this chair for almost 2 years, and my appreciation has only increased. The adjustability is full and wide ranging. The comfort is well balanced for different seating positions.
  • Steelcase's no1 selling ergonomic chair
  • LiveBack - changes shape to mimic and support the movement of the spine
  • Natural Glide System enables you to comfortably recline without straining your eyes, arms and neck
  • Cradle to Cradle(CM) certified Leap is up to 94 percent recyclable by weight, depending on the options selected, and made of up to 30-percent recycled content
  • SCS Indoor Advantage certified Identifying Leap as a low-emitting
Even at $800 I consider this Steelcase Leap Fabric Chair well spent money. I've bought a number of less expensive chairs for home use, and consider them wasted money. It is unusual to find a chair that is too big for me. At the highest setting my feet can't quite sit flat on the ground (which is really great to know). Armrests lock in at 9 different heights though they also can be shifted in to make it more comfortable when typing.

The Steelcase Leap Fabric Chair back is firm and solid feeling, and the lumbar support is functional without being over bearing. The arm rest adjustments are superb with a large variety of options. For reference, I am 6"8' and weigh about 244lbs, and this chair configures to a perfect sit, something not commonly found.

My initial thought is that I will buy a second chair (I have a home office and a normal office away from home). A woman at my work that I know is 5"4' with a willow wisp of a figure and she claims it is the best chair she has ever had also. Even through her pregnancy, she extolled its comfort and fit. Over-all this Steelcase Leap Fabric Chair  is well worth its cost for some serious sitting in comfort.
